I have produced various products on my diploma. These include an advert for MTV, a radio show for BBC1, a press conference and college website for the Press Association.
Before we started this unit the whole class were placed into four different groups: Futurism, Baroque, Gothic and Anarchy, and within these groups we had to relate this to our other lessons and tasks. My group was Gothic and this was my theme throughout the whole course.
Within our theme we were asked to design our own individual websites, create a 3D design, research ideas and present an event.
One of my proudest achievements would have to be my 3D visual design. I created a skull. I tried to use two different types of black material for the top and bottom which was cut into a skull head. I then sewed them together.
I filled my skull with polystyrene balls to make it feel full and to blow it up. When I finished I decided that I wasn't happy with it. When I showed the class they gave me positive and negative feedback. I came to the conclusion to change my skull. For my final piece I used a piece of material shaped as a skull then I glued the polystyrene balls to form a skull. When it dried, I coloured in the eyes and nose.
Bonjour!
Let me introduce my self. My name is Dannielle Beatrice Harriette. Welcome to my page. My motto in life is: "The first step to getting the things you want out of life is decide what you want and go for it."
I am a very bubbly and very outgoing young lady, who says what she means. I have a passion for fashion and aspire to change the industry and become the next top model. But for now, my back up to my dreams is gaining some media qualifications. Not just beauty but brains too!
I’m one of the pioneers on the Creative and Media course located at Newham College. I chose this course because I want a career path that reflects my personality and what I want to become in life.
What do I want to become in life? By the end of this course, I want to gain as much media skills and work experience as I can, achieve this diploma course and progress further to the next level.
I have undertaken various projects, gained lots experience and insight into media that has inspired me. This includes working on a MTV Advert, being interviewed by BBC Radio One and working at the Press Association developing our website and holding a press conference.
Never dull, you'll shine for someone else. Ur beautiful!

The exhibition was designed to showcase the work we had produced so far on our course. We had to plan the event and had meetings every Wednesday until the launch. We kept record of minutes to keep everyone up dated with what we had discussed and to inform other team members if they were absent.
After the time, date and venue for the exhibition were agreed and confirmed, we then had to think how we where going to publicise and promote our event.
As a group, we decided to design flyers, invitations and put posters around college. Also, we invited other students, college staff, friends and family.
After the planning stage, we started to prepare for the day of our exhibition and organised how we where going to put the whole event together.
We thought about the layout of the room and how we were going to display our work and what type of food and refreshments we were going offer. Whilst looking at our room layout we realised we might have health and safety issues as there wires were scattered around the floor. We moved these against the walls.
I think the exhibition was a huge success because people inside and outside the college got to see the work that we had produced.
At the end of the day things could be improved for next time but otherwise it was fun to do.
This course has been a huge experience.
I've had that chance to be in a MTV ad, I've been interviewed by BBC Radio, I been to Weymouth to hang my work outside the museum. I've also helped create this website with the Press Association and put together my photography portfolio.
I have learnt a lot of new skills and this has reflected positively on me. For example, posing, working with others, listening, adapting and using different types of software.
