My Products

During my time on this course I have worked on many projects. I have made my own website called FaceChat, which has been uploaded to the internet. I also have learnt how to use and create projects using Photoshop.

bracelet made with wire and metalI used Dreamweaver to create my website. I used Photoshop to create images and pictures to put on to my web pages. After planning my ideas for the website on paper I started to create the outline of my site in Dreamweaver. I added more details using text and images.

My portrait created in PhotoshopIn the visual arts part of the Diploma I have made a bracelet. It was not easy to make. It was difficult to work with metal, wires, links and other materials. After designing my bracelet I collected the materials I needed and then followed my design idea to create it.

As part of the media unit I drew my own face and manipulated the drawing using Photoshop. I first traced my face then scanned it into Photoshop. Then I added in the colours and spent time adding details.

I have really enjoyed creating my work on this course.

My Ambitions:

My Presentation

During this course I did two major presentations, one on Black History Month and the other on Deaf Awareness. The first presentation on Black History went well; the audience was engaged and at the end of the presentation they asked questions.

Deaf AwarenessTo make both presentations I used Microsoft Powerpoint. It was important to me to make sure that the presentations were interesting and kept the audience's attention. I did this by having a good design, using strong colours and adding loads of pictures.

I have also showcased my various pieces of artwork in an exhibition . One artwork piece was linked to Portland Stone. I researched the history of Portland Stone for this project. Another one of my pieces that I exhibited was a bracelet designed around a Gothic theme.

My Reflections:

I have enjoyed this course; the varied topics have been great. I am enjoying learning about making creative web sites and how to make video clips. I liked exhibiting my artwork on Portland Stone.

This course has improved my skills in researching. The Portland Stone project and Black History Month has helped me develop presentation skills. This course has also increased my knowledge of technical words linked with media and digital software like Adobe Photoshop.
