My Products

weymouth visual arts projectI completed various projects for example I made a 3D design, I created my Weymouth canvas board and produced some photography.

The projects that I've enjoyed the most were the Weymouth, photography and Anarchy T-shirt project.

I started the Weymouth project by researching ideas before creating my mood board. I created a painting of Portland stone using pencil, permanent marker and acrylic paint.

3d project -t-shirsAt first, I didn't like photography that much. Now, I really enjoy it because I have learnt how to take photographs, and edit and manipulate them using Adobe Photoshop. For my photography project, I enjoyed taking pictures of sculptures and flowers.

One of my favourite pieces of work is my Anarchy T-shirt. I am very pleased with the way it looks.

My Focus

TenesiaHi, welcome to my page. My name is Tenesia Kara-Lee Jordan. I am 17. I am currently studying on the Creative and Media course which is one of the new exclusive specialised diplomas. This course is great for people like me and I am enjoying every minute of it.

Before starting this course I was not very confident but now, after a year, I feel much better and my personality has grown.

One of my interest is singing, I really love to sing. But I'm kind of shy singing in front of crowds and even my friends. I like listening to RnB and Hip Hop. I really don't have a favorite singer but I like Mariah Carey, Boys 2 Men and Beyonce.

I like to shop in Stratford and Ilford. When I do shop, I really don't have a favourite store, I just go everywhere to check out the prices.

I like reading different types of books like horror, mystery and manga. At the moment I'm reading the epic high fantasy novel Empress, which is an excellent book by best-selling author Karen Miller.

I like to travel, go to different places and take loads of interesting pictures.

My Ambitions:

My aim is to become a professional fashion photographer. I aim to progress onto Level 2 diploma next year to further my studies. After this course I want to go on to university.

Hold it!

My Presentation

The idea of the presentation was to exhibit our visual arts and 3D work.

Every Wednesday we had to make plans, we took minutes to know who had to do what. When the exhibition came close we had to plan what we needed to do and what we wanted to display.

In preparation for the event we all had different jobs like; moving chairs and making room for our images to be placed on the display boards.

I displayed my designs on a table including my Anarchy T-shirt along with my Weymouth canvas board.

On the day of the exhibition we showed our work and explained to our visitors what the event was all about. We talked to our guest and got feedback on our work.

My Reflections:

This year has been a great experience for me. At first I did find it a little bit hard even to come in to college during the half term, but afterwards it got a little easier. I now enjoy spending time with my classmates and getting to know them more than before.

I have done a whole range of things at Newham College, like going to Weymouth and making a website at the Press Association.

I now know how to plan and organise exhibitions, work in a team to hold a press conference and a lot more.
